Your Gifts at Work

During the month of November, the Community Cupboard saw its highest number of community members served, providing 1,115 individuals with nutritious food and much needed household items.

Catherine*, recently shared how the Community Cupboard served as a valuable safety net during a period when her family was experiencing financial instability. Despite being employed, her paycheck was not enough to cover the family’s monthly expenses, leaving them facing food insecurity. Uncertain of how her needs would be perceived, and concerned she would be met with judgment, Catherine reluctantly sought services at the Community Cupboard. To her relief, she was met with support, respect, and understanding.

“Having a friendly, understanding, community driven place to rely on during this time of need, has been invaluable to my family.”

Catherine is working towards a more stable financial situation. She shared even when she has overcome this hardship, she will continue to be a part of the Community Cupboard by regularly donating food.

It is because of your support that we can provide families like Catherine’s with vital services during times of economic uncertainty.

In November, you helped neighbors in the Upper Valley and Cashmere with $12,079.63 of emergency financial assistance, including keeping seven families in their homes through temporary rent assistance.

Thank you for your generosity!
