Feminine Hygiene Product Drive
Help ensure women and girls have the feminine hygiene products they need. Donations will be accepted at many local businesses from September 5-19. The drive will end with a donation event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the local Safeway, where shoppers can purchase needed items and leave them at the donation table on the way out.
Free Foot Clinic
The Upper Valley Free Clinic is excited to announce a new partnership with Registered Nurse Rebecca Talbot-Bluechel, who will be offering a free foot clinic once a month in Leavenworth. Rebecca has worked for 10 years in public health in the Seattle area, providing foot care and education to underserved communities, including seniors and people who are unhoused, uninsured or underinsured.
The Foot Clinic will take place one Saturday a month from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the fellowship hall at Faith Lutheran Church, 224 Benton St. in Leavenworth. The clinic is free and everyone is welcome. Appointments are first come, first served.
Patients must live within Cashmere or the Cascade School District.
Beer Gut, Brat Butt 1k Fundraiser
This is a fun 1K walk through Bavarian Leavenworth to raise money for Upper Valley MEND. It begins and ends at Stein, a local family-friendly beer hall, and includes free pretzels and brats along the route! Costumes are highly encouraged.
Entry fee is $20 per person, which includes one-of-a-kind Beer Gut Brat Butt souvenirs. This fundraiser benefits Upper Valley MEND.
