Hans and his wife Leah have enjoyed the area for many years and moved their family to Leavenworth to live full time in 2020. Hans runs an affordable housing firm that has successfully preserved many thousands of units of affordable housing in Washington and nationwide. He serves on the board of multiple social services nonprofits and affordable housing advocacy groups and is proud to support MEND’s mission locally. Hans and Leah have two daughters, Kira and Nora, who ensure the family’s involvement in all that the Upper Valley has to offer, including hiking, cross-country and downhill skiing, mountain-biking, theater and community outreach.
