Volunteer
WHY VOLUNTEER?
Volunteering means something different to everyone. It usually starts with a single act of kindness, but leads to a lifetime of enriching experiences. By volunteering with Upper Valley MEND you will play a direct part in addressing some of the most important needs in the Upper Wenatchee Valley, and leave a lasting impact in your community. Whether sorting clothes and stocking food at the Community Cupboard, interpreting for Spanish-speaking individuals at the Upper Valley Free Clinic, teaching home buyer education to a new homeowner in SHARE Community Land Trust, or creating enriching activities for residents of Cornerstone Community Adult Family Home, your time as a volunteer is bound to be a valuable experience.
Here are a few more reasons why volunteering can be so valuable. You can:
- Meet a diverse range of people with similar values
- Discover a new skill or develop a new talent
- Explore career and personal interests
- Have fun!!
If you are interested in volunteering with Upper Valley MEND you can call the MEND offices at (509) 548-0408. You can also send us an Email with your name, address, phone number, where you would like to volunteer (Community Cupboard, SHARE CLT, Upper Valley Free Clinic, Cornerstone, or other), and what you would be interested in doing.
