Join the MEND board of directors

Dear MEND supporters, clients and volunteers,

Thank you for all your generous time and energy. Because of your support, hundreds of local families and individuals receive food, affordable housing, free health and dental care, and emergency services each year.

In March, MEND will have two openings on our board of directors. MEND is a community organization and representation from diverse groups of community members within our board of directors is essential to keeping a finger on the pulse of community needs. Today I’d like to reach out to you to ask if you would like to nominate yourself or someone you know to join our board of directors.

Board members are skilled volunteers who help govern the organization, ensuring sufficient resources for a healthy future for all Upper Valley MEND programs. The MEND board is made up of 12 thoughtful, hardworking and diverse community members who each bring unique skills and perspectives to the governance of the organization. If you are interested in joining this group and serving your community in this fun and engaging way, I hope you will consider submitting a nomination.

Nominated board members’ qualifications will be considered by current MEND board members. Selected board members will then be voted in by the MEND membership at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Annual Meeting on March 28, 2017.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (509) 548-0408 or at Kaylin@uvmend.org.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in guiding the work of Upper Valley MEND. It is because of you that those in need in the Upper Valley have a strong safety net.

Sincerely,

Kaylin Bettinger
Executive Director
